Writer Ben Solo (pen name Kylo Ren) and his boyfriend Hux spending the winter as hotel caretakers while Kylo works on his novel, a biography of his grandfather.

Hux is the man they call in when they want to make their company look attractive to buyers. Hux was told by his doctor he needed to take some time off from work and de-stress.

The Supremacy is managed by an old friend of the family. Rae Sloane sets them up with the job, thinking she's doing them a favor. 

"Your father's dead, Hux. You don't have to put yourself in an early grave too, trying to make his ghost proud of you."

Rae knows the hotel has a history and knows Ben will find it fascinating.

She doesn't know about the haunting.

Snoke used to be the hotel manager. Things happened and were covered up.

Ben gets stuck writing and starts to explore. Finds a locked trunk in attic.

One of Han's ideas for father/son bonding time was lock picking exercises. Ben finds Snoke's scrapbook,  of news clippings and "souvenirs". Drops grandpa's biography in favor of a true crime novel.

And then the walls start whispering to him and he starts seeing things.

The hotel is possessed by Snoke's ghost.

They escape safely, Hux bringing Ben back from the precipice of madness. Or so they both think.

Even after they’ve left, Ben still hears whispers.
